Pasta? Travel Reviews

The first thing you should know about "Pasta?" is how to say the name.
You need to say it with a question in your voice. For example:

"Where do you want to have dinner tonight?"

"I was thinking we could eat at Pasta?!?"

Pasta? is a restaurant that you just can't take too seriously. The
menus have a quirky question mark emblazoned on their cover, and the
wait staff is highly amusing and friendly. Be prepared to ponder the
exact nature of the relationship between the maitre d and the water
boy, and smirk when your flamboyant waiter just about professes his
undying love to the birthday girl in your party. Pasta? is mostly
enjoyable not because of the food, but because of its airy and relaxed
ambiance (outdoor seating helps with the "airy" part of the ambiance in
the Mountain View location).

The pasta (and other menu items) are generally good at Pasta? The
bruschetta was yummy, and the bread the waiters initially brought was
decent, though nothing exceptional. There wasn't that much selection
for me, being a vegetarian, but I found that their gnocchi tastes
particularly good in pesto sauce. I would suggest coming to Pasta? with
a healthy appetite, though, especially if you're going for the gnocchi.
Because while the pasta tasted soft and pillowly for the first couple
of bites, by the time I was halfway through my own bowl of gnocchi I
had sworn off eating altogether.

Until dessert, that is. Which was delicious. I can't remember exactly what I ordered, but it was some sort of ice

cream dusted in cocoa powder and nuts. It was so good I seriously had to beat my friends off with a fork.

Pasta? also has a location in downtown Palo Alto on University, I
believe, which is pretty much the same as the Mountain View location
except that it's a bit more cramped and has better (more amusing)
service.

If you want to eat decently priced Italian food in a comfortable setting, Pasta? is the place to be.

Google is the place for free, high quality food.  I was lucky enough to get a tour of most of the cafeterias at Google, and they got it all.  Every serving area was serving different, delectable foo...
L_L_Travel says: In the heart of downtown Mountain View is this small, tucked away restaurant that serves fabulous Mexican food. If I'd let him...Larry would eat there everyday. His favorite? A Los Charros burrito with carnitas...big portions and not too expensive!
SwtSerenity says: Krung Thai - Mountain View location is a small restaurant with really good food and decent prices. The service is super fast and the place is pretty clean. Their Thai cuisine is pretty good! I was full and it was so yummy! Their menu selection is pretty decent too. So much to choose from!
