mom and pop makes italian affordable! Sep 06, 2008
This is a cute and quaint mom and pop's/hole in the wall type of italian restaurant.

It's really casual family dining. Located inside the shopping center... you actually have to walk inside the shopping center and turn to your right and bam! It's right there!

It's pretty small and the decor is kind of thrown-together mesh mix of checkered curtains with a chalkboard listing the day's specials.

The food is relatively cheap and the portions are good. The main dishes includes a side salad but if you choose not to have the salad that comes with it, they deduct $2 from your bill! (thumbs up!!) FYI, I put the $2 towards the garlic bread... which unfortunately tasted more like butter than garlic... but stil decent!! :)

I ordered the Sausage and Red Bell Pepper in Marsala wine and was able to select what type of pasta (I chose the farfalle -> two thumbs up!!). Also, at an additional cost, they'll increase your portion size if you want to take some home with you or if you're just super hungry.

Although the menu was modest, I thoroughly enjoyed spending my money here than at the overrate restaurants found in our hotel.

If you're looking for a low-key, local type of place, this is a definite must try! I definitely find mom and pop's a lot more enjoyable to dine at rather than the high class snotty casino restaurants. ;)
