I found somewhere to indulge in my 'Passions' May 05, 2009
Jacinta and I needed to recharge our batteries after our morning of bushwalking at Mt Field National Park. We drove back into New Norfolk and found Passions. Full of locals, we thought, "If the locals are eating here it must be good."
When we entered a group of 8 local ladies were just ordering coffee and cake, and another couple were just finishing up their meal. We had a look at the blackboard menu, both chose a Turkish Pide, Jacinta went with the ham, cheese, and pineapple and I thoroughly enjoyed my chicken, brie cheese, cashews and baby spinach. Jacinta and I both stood at the counter ogling all the chocolates, pastries and biscuits wondering if we could just have some yummies for lunch, but decided to go with something more substantial and then see what we had room for at the end of our meal. My meal was scrumptious, all the staff at Passions is friendly and helpful and they sure are passionate about their coffee and tea, I sampled one of their lattes and later with my Cointreau cheesecake, I had a cappuccino. When ordering coffee that server asked if I would like strong weak or medium coffee, that’s a first for me. Artworks by a local artist line the walls and happy patrons fill the chairs around the tables. Passions is a great place to grab a bite to eat in New Norfolk if you are passing through.
