'Lovely Red Starfish' Aug 14, 2010
PASIR ISLAND is not an island but reef of of charred land that consists of only sand that appears when the sea is low tide. At the time of high tides almost the entire land sinks beneath the sea. The island is not large, comprising only about half a football field. There are no other items on this island than fine white sand piles.

At low tide, the island is visited by every tourist who traveled by Island hopping fishing boat. Because of the location of the island lies nice surrounding scenery of the other Islands adjacent as Kepayang Island, Babi Island (the island of pig), Tukong Kelayang Island and Batu Berlayar Island (Stone Sailing). Waist-deep sea water at low tide. separates Kepayang and this Island.

If you visit the island of sand, there is one thing not to be missed. Do not hesitate to turn yourselves into the sea on the northern side of the sand island. The water is clear, shallow and beneath is only what seem to be the fine white wide sand, but looking to the bottom of the sea, you will find a special animal inhabitants that of the Big Red Starfish.

Many starfish are scattered in the waters around the island of sand. Visitors usually do not miss the opportunity to take pictures with these unique creatures. I had my picture taken amongst these lovely Red Starfish…which I love so much…hmmm..Lovely.
