Pashupatinath Overview

Pashupatinath a famous holy place of Hindu and temple of Shiva. It is situated at the bank of Bagmati river and half an hour drive from Thamel one the way to Airport. Many festivals use to celebrate here time to time every week or month but major festivals celebrate once year like: Maha Shivaratri, Teej etc.

Maha Shivaratri is festival of Shiva and celebrate by millions of Hindu pilgrimage from within and out of the country. Thousands of Holy Baba, Sadhus, naked Yogis etc gather here to celebrate the day of Shiva. These holy people are allow to smoke marijuana and other natural stuffs on festival time openly. The area of Pashupati is big. The dead body of hindu brought here to born ont he fire openly at the bank of Bagmati River. One can allow to go around the pashupati area except main temple yard of holy Shiva. One could feel difference vibe of holyness in this area of Pashupatinath.
