Pasar Gede Solo Reviews
Good place to buy traditional snacks, fried chicken, Ice DAWET Jan 17, 2011
It is a must place to visit whenever I go to Solo, simply just because I love the Es Dawet Bu Diyem. Es Dawet is a traditional ice mixed of coconut milk, jackfruit, selasi, cendol, tape, bubur sumsum (sorry i dunno the english for those :p). It is very very nice.. and cant find anywhere else other than Solo. It costs IDR 5,000.
Then my cousin told me that the fried chicken there is nice. Was bit sceptical when he said that coz i always feel that my mom's home made fried chicken is the best. At the end I bought the fried chicken, 2 pairs of tigh is only IDR 12,000!! and it is Kampung chicken. ehmmm.. but we need to pay for the chili (sambal), it costs IDR 2,000. I brought back the fried chicken and sambal to KL as I rushed to the airport.
guess what, yes it is still delicious!!! Super!! even I ate it after 7 hours!
I will definitely buy it again if I visit Solo.
Ah.. the other thing, you can also buy the traditional snacks like fried chicken skin, fried chicken instentine, brem, fried chicken feet, etc (hehehe.. it may sound gross for people, but it is delicious) :p.
