Party and entertainment in Budapest Travel Reviews

If you want to have some fun Budapest is the best place ever to go to. Compared to other European countries it is cheap (entrance tickets from (0£ - 4-5£ in most of the cases free for girls), and whichever kind of music you prefer I`m sure you `ll find the right place to have great fun. Since Budapest is a huge city I`d like to give you some options how to spend a night there and where to go to find it`s hidden treasures:) Most of the pubs are located in the city centre (Blaha Lujza Square) which is really easy to find. If you want to have a drink first go to Szimpla kert which looks like a huge garage transformed into a pub which is furnished with retro style furniture (sofas ect.) or to Godor club (Deak Square) which is located under an artificial pond and offers live music almost every day. Most of the people in both places are aged from 18-28 but anyone in any age is welcome:)If you prefer to meet other foreigners go to Kuplung which is like 7 min walking distance from Szimpla kert. When you are ready for a party go to West Balkan (Ferenc korut) which is a relatively new place. You have different kind of music every day but what I would suggest you is to go there on Wednesdays. If you like d`n`b you `ll definitely have a great time there:)If you like raggae music go to Filter on Wednesdays or to Trafo Bar on Fridays. If you like the `general` music and looking for `adventure`:) go to B7, Club Inside, school club(=Rio in summers) or to Zold Pardon which is openair and open just in summers. You can find good parties on A38 also which is a boat on the riverside (under Petofi Bridge) transformed into a discotheque. You can easily get to most of the places because night buses come in every 10 minutes. If you want to try some new drinks ask for a Vilmos nectar, a Hubertus or a palinka of any taste....but be careful Hungarians dont drink so soft drinks......:)Briefly these are the most important and interesting places which can colour your journey a little bit:) but ask in a Tourist Information for an Exit(programme magazine) to see further options. Wherever you chose to go to I promise you wont regret it. Budapest is a cosmopolitan city which welcomes all kind of people from all around the world. Wherewer you go I`m sure you `ll make friends (even for one night:) )and get to know some people. If you are in trouble with directions ask people on the street I`m sure it`ll be their pleasure to help you. Have a great time:))))

surfinbird says: If you are going to Budapest ,and you are between the ages of 26-40, then the Old Man's Pub is the place to be. This has got to be the best hangout in eastern Europe. Great food and drinks, live music every night, and after the live music is done they got 2 small dance floors for you to let it loose....
Eric says: Zold Pardon is a big, outdoor venue that has a few bars and live music. There are lots of Budapest locals here and it seems pretty popular among a young crowd for dancing, drinking, and partying. When I went there was a live band playing. Definitely wasn't folk music, but I'm sure the lineup changes...
semih says: this pub is really nice if you want to dance and/or listen to live music...
