parque del este May 29, 2013
I went to parque del este on my trip in 2007 to stay with my dad and get to see different things. I am from Florida and I speak Spanish already as a second language. English is my first but the city is welcoming. I play basketball and parque del este has an outdoor basketball court as well as volleyball, joggin trails, a small zoo like station, and water boat rentals. You can gain admission for little to nothing. It is about a dollar or so. Also, you can get drinks inside or treats like empanadas. People come to walk or take their girlf friends there. You can see them making out a lot. Go my latin lover friends! Haha. I reccommend going to parque del este on your trip to Caracas. The metro takes you right to it. You can meet people there or just go and enjoy the park. Enjoy!

To get away from some of the pollution in the city or to go running, head to Parque del Este, which is a walk away from the subway stop: Altamira. It's a safe place for females to go running by themselves or to meet up with people to play soccer, volleyball, or ultimate frisbee. It's also a great place to read, journal, or have a BBQ with friends. There is a great zoo filled with animals like the ANACONDA! There is also a replica of one of Colombus's ships. That, in itself, is reason to go! Be a pirate!

It's a great refuge away from the city... within the city's walls.
