  Feb 04, 2007To get away from some of the pollution in the city or to go running, head to Parque del Este, which is a walk away from the subway stop: Altamira. It's a safe place for females to go running by themselves or to meet up with people to play soccer, volleyball, or ultimate frisbee. It's also a great place to read, journal, or have a BBQ with friends. There is a great zoo filled with animals like the ANACONDA! There is also a replica of one of Colombus's ships. That, in itself, is reason to go! Be a pirate! It's a great refuge away from the city... within the city's walls.
