Serving as the capital city’s largest park, the grounds here belonged to the Spanish monarchy. In the nineteenth century, it was converted into a public park. The grounds are very well looked after, lots of nice lawns, monuments and water features to keep everyone entertained. This would be a great place in the summer especially, and I can imagine relaxing here in the heat. It’s also a park for everybody, from the elderly people taking a stroll to the families to younger groups. If you are in Madrid, visiting this park is simply a must. It’s not far from Prado museum, so there are no excuses!
