Parque Vacacional Eden Tenerife Reviews
Parque Vacacional Eden Hotel Oct 24, 2014
The location of the hotel is not the best possible, bad I would even dare to say. We had a car and it was still so difficult to get here and out of here. The hotel is located in the hillside in the residential area. Many one line streets lead to it but even with a map it is hard to figure out the right way. You can always walk but it is a long way out of town, up a steep hill.
Parque Vacacional Eden Hotel is quite dated. It was undergoing an upgrade of many rooms while we stayed there but apart from a little banging in the morning it was not a huge problem. However on the last day when we left our room to check out we found ourselves in a different place than one day before; one wall of the corridor was removed! Whole hotel is surrounded by gardens and they are absolutely lovely. The greenery is everywhere. The reason why it is so green here is because it rains quite a bit in the northern part of Tenerife. There are two buildings in the Parque Vacacional Eden Hotel: building one has 10 floors (Eden Esplanade), building two has 6 floors (Eden Luz). We stayed in Eden Esplande on the 8th floor. The restaurant is in Eden Luz. Eden Esplanade has a roof-top bar and a nudist swimming pool and another small pool in the courtyard. Because of the construction work the small pool was covered. There is a bigger pool in Eden Luz that you can also use if you are staying in Eden Esplanade.
We got a room overlooking El Teide! We could not get a better view I guess. The room was perfectly clean and practically equipped, with a nice balcony. The whole front wall was made out of glass. Our room looked like straight from the 80s, mostly because of the bed blanket in floral patterns. A nice touch was a bottle of wine in the room on arrival. We didn’t open it, but I know, it was rather a cheap one! We had a small bathroom and own kitchen. The kitchen facilities were rather poor. No kettle to boil water to make coffee or tea, very limited dishes (just 2 plates, 2 cups, 2 spoons). We used a pan to boil water but that was taking forever.
This hotel is more geared towards the older generation. When we were there, most of the guests were over 65. Parque Vacacional Eden Hotel surroundings offer no nightlife. We did not look for nightlife, but there was no nightlife in the hotel as well and this may reduce its attraction for younger visitors. For people looking for a rest it may be fine. The another problem the hotel must cope with is a distance to the closest beach, quite far away and also the way requires some climbing as this hotel is on the top of the steepy hill (I recommend not wearing the high heels). Good thing about this hotel is its friendly and helpful staff .
