An awesome view of the city in a green space - Parque Itchimbia Aug 17, 2009
Parque Itchimbia is a large park, located on a hill. From this huge green space, you'd be able to get 360º degrees views of the city.
Its a big park that has a Cultural Center, cafes, point views and other attractions. Going there is free. You'd have to pay if you want to go to any of the cafes. Views are worth it. It's located near Old Town. If you want to climb you can walk up Elizalde street. Also you can take a bus from the Old town or do it easier and take a cab, hehehe. Just be aware that the area could be a bit dangerous if you are walking by your own when it gets dark. At that time is safer to take a cab :) Part of the Back to Ecuador: an International Mini Meet Up and Gastronomic tour II - the sequel :P travel blog |

The hostel was located near the "Parque Itchimbia" and from there you can have an awesome view of the city. I had already read about this. So, we decided to go to a nice cafe on top of the hill to get dinner and enjoy the night view. In order not to loose… Going to the airport... no, I'm not leaving, we'd pick up Frank :) |
