Australia's Frist Parliament - Parliament of NSW Feb 25, 2011
To be honest I didn't plan to visit this historical building. I arrived early to Sydney and after visiting the Botanic Gardens, I started to walk around then I saw it. It was still 10min before 9am, so it wasn't open yet, but I decided to come back later that day. Hey, it was for free!

This parliament is the oldest in the country and although is still working is not the National one anymore. The national one is located now in Canberra. However, this one is still operating but for NSW. Because there are offices here, you can't visit the hold building, but there are some areas designated for visitors.

The building has a new areas where they work now, but you will be allowed to visit the antique ones which are very nice and make you go back in time. The legislative council is gorgeous. At the main lobby you will find art exhibitions but also a modern fountain which makes the parliament see trendy.

If you have time and are in Sydney, I recommend you to make a stop here. It won't take that much time, plus it's free! And since it's not that popular, it is not crowded either and you might be able to see some congressmen all dressed up.
