Parkview Field Fort Wayne Reviews
Superb Baseball Stadium Aug 27, 2009
Built in 2008, ready for the season opener in April 2009, Parkview Field is a state-of-the-art baseball palace in the center of Fort Wayne. Designers borrowed features from other ball parks around the country, including a right-field bleacher-bums grandstand, picnic table areas, a grassy parkland in centerfield, a tall-table reserve seating area along the left field line, a spacious concourse, a "green-monster" left field wall topped by box seats with tall tables, luxury boxes, an enclosed cocktail lounge, and a lot more.
The park has been a tremendous success attracting record-setting crowds that come as much, perhaps more, for the festive evening than for the ballgame. The team, among the very best in minor baseball, helps, as does the many, many on-field activities that compliment the game.
The park is situation so that all visitors have a grand view of the center of Fort Wayne Parking is ample, there are concession stands throughout the facility, lines are short, it is easy to buy tickets and prices, starting at $6 a seat, are very much within the reach of family entertainment.
Oh yes, there is also a kids area with rock walls, moon walks and other sorts of things to keep kids happy. At a dollar a ride or play it is a money pit, however.
In all the park is fun, comfortable, well maintained, attractive and an inexpensive diversion. If you are coming to Fort Wayne, or just want to see the best in minor league baseball this is the place to visit.
