Park Prinčeva Sarajevo Reviews
Awesome view and traditional Balkan food Sep 03, 2012
We had been out walking the beautiful streets of the old town in Sarajevo and we was sitting and enjoying a beer when we asked the waiter where to have a great meal in town, and without hesitation he said; you have to go to Park Princeva.
Some drinks later we took his advice and jumped into a taxi and said Park Princeva, without knowing that we had jumped in to a car driven by Michael Schumacher or at least it felt like that. When we said it to him he just laughed and drove faster. 8 – 10 minutes later we arrived high above the city at the restaurant.
The Park Princeva is located behind some large walls with the logo in bright light, especially in the night. There is a small door that you enter and then you will see that you arrived at a special place, especially to view over Sarajevo is quite amazing.
The restaurant is fairly large and you can see that they quite often handle large arrangement because the lay-out indicates it. We took a table at the balcony just to suck in more of the magnificent view of the lights of Sarajevo. We arrive after the sun down but there is no doubt in my mind that this would have been something really special.
We ordered a couple of beers and looked at the menu; I decided for some old fashion veal while my friend went for some steak. The food was cooked in the old fashion way and was very tender and tasty with boiled potatoes and vegetables. It was quite basic stuff but there were loads of it. My veal was very nice and the portion more than plentiful. We ended the meal with a couple of cups of coffee. It had been a really nice dinner but the setting had also a huge part of the positive feedback. The waiters had been nice and friendly – and we were happy eating there.
