Park Hotel

A very disappointing experience.Was booked in for 5 days.Arrived to find the lift not working.They claim to have internet,a colleague paid for the service and it didnt work.The following morning,there was no hot water in my shower.Any complaint was met with a cold glare by the proprietress and the information that everything seemed fine on other floors.Fed up with the poor service and the general lack of warmth in this place,on day 2,I asked to be allowed to vacate giving 24 hours notice on day 3.I was told there was no way I could avoid full charges not only for day 4 but also day 5.The whole experience was horrible particularly the nastiness of the proprietress.I decided to pay up for the entire 5 days and moved to the excellent hotel Bristol Gunnewig in Bonn which more than made up for this nasty experience and cost less than this hole.Please avoid at all costs.Its a trap you cant get out of.Even if you happen to book ahead with the credit card like my poor friend did and cancel with anything less than three weeks notice (!!!),they will charge you the full rent for all days booked.A total and miserable trap.If I hadnt moved to the bristol,I would have had really bad memories of Bonn.Luckily I chose to pay and get out.This is just so other people dont have to experience the same thing.And remember to always ask about cancellation policy whenever you book!!
