This small community in eastern Oklahoma is home to several sites that are important to the Cherokee Indians. They are also listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
The Cherokee Heritage Center, Tsa La Gi Indian Village, the Murrell Home, Ross Cemetery and Cherokee Female Seminary are all located there. The Heritage center includes several displays and also a includes a research center for genealolgy.

Our second stop for the day today was the Cherokee National Museum in Park Hill, Oklahoma. Both my wife and I have some Indian ancestry, so we are both interested in seeing and learning about what we can. We spent quite a while taking the tour, checking out the Trail of Tears Art Sale that was going on this month and going through the rest of the museum.
