Don't be intimidated to use the subway! The people maybe slightly rude to you but they are suprisingly easy to figure out and they are affordible! If you are planning to ride the subway a lot, buy the day pass! It is much cheaper in the long run. You also have the option of buying a certain amount of one time use passes! You can see all of the major tourist sites in one day! Every entrance to the subways has a map posted on the wall! Each map will be marked with the major tourist sites. Once you figure out which trains to catch, it is very important to pay attention to the direction that you are heading! There will also be a map near the ceiling of all the subway cars, telling you which stops are next! Generally speaking, if you get off at the right stops of the subway, you should come out of the metro within view of your destination!
