Paris Marriott Hotel Champs-Elysees Reviews
Nov 17, 2006
have stayed at this hotel around 4 times in the last 18 months. It is an expensive hotel to stay at as it is right on the very glamorous and main tourist street of the Champs Elysees. This has the Louvre right down at one end and the Arc D'Triomphe at the other.
The prices at the Marriot do vary a huge deal over the course of the year based on when the major tourist season and major events, like Paris fashion week, take place.
Overall the hotel is a very nice place to stay. However, it can be expensive with a room around 240 euros a night. I have always been staying there as I have been attending meetings being run at the hotel.
The bedrooms are a good size, not huge but a decent size, and feature the fantastic Marriot beds, loads of pillows and comfy duvet. The beds are something that everyone who has not stayed at the hotel comment on. They almost all look out over the back of the building so have no real view. But they are very quiet as a result.
The bathrooms are also pretty good with decent sized bath and separate shower.
The mini bar is, like all mini bars, well stocked and costly. There is a large restaurant that is ok with breakfasts costing about 22 euros for Continental and 26 for American. This seems a lot, and so worth trying to get a bed and Breakfast rate if you are the breakfast type!
There is a lobby bar with very friendly staff that is right in the middle of reception so alright for meeting people before heading out, but not suitable as a "destination" bar.
If you are at a meeting at the hotel, the problem is almost all of the meeting rooms are in the basement with no windows.
The hotel is great for business as so well located, and takes around 15 – 30 minutes by can to Eurostar based on the time of day. I am not sure that I would chose it if I was visiting Paris for vacation though.>..>
