A card to save money and time with! May 25, 2007
Like in many cities, you can buy a card in Paris that will give you access to severall attractions and museums. The price of this card depends on how many days you'll use this card. You can't use this card at every museum or attraction, so check out if this card is usefull for you before buying it! Why is it better then buying tickets everywhere? Well, some attractions or museums are free with this card. For others, the prices will be reduced. But what is most important i think, is that you don't have to line up in busy attractions. So, buy this card in an attraction that isn't very busy. For example, i bought mine at the Pantheon at 10:00 in the morning. Most people go to attractions like the Eiffel Tower and The Louvre first so DON'T go there. Buy your card there and after that you can visit all the busy places. There was a line of 1,5 hour in front of The Louvre and we could go in without waiting! So you can do more with this card!

A few of us rented a golf cart for an hour. There was a set path for us to take and with one 5 minute stop, we made it around just in time (There was a fee for going over the time limit). The golf cart let us see a majority… Paris - Day 10 |

I asked a police man “Bonjour monsieur, je voudrais une carte orange. Ou est-ce qu’ils sont?” To my surprise, he actually understood what I said haha. I figured I would butcher the pronunciation so horribly and not use grammar so ridiculously horrible that it would be impossible to decipher. He pointed me in the right… EuroTrip 2008 Day 7 (London/ Paris Day 1) |

The waitstaff rolled over a large 3 level cart of
more than 50 cheeses for us to choose from. As sophisticated as I would like to
be, I can't handle a lot of strong cheeses. Especially the ones that smell like
feet or the mold vein cheeses. Gah! I selected a nutty… Day 1: Paris |

I'm irritated because that extra 32E I spent (instead of spending it on a 'carte orange' which would've cost 15E and lasted for longer) could've been put towards a decent lunchtime menu at the Cafe du Flore, or I could've even thrown it all, penny by penny, into a fountain somewhere, and hopefully at least have… Day 1: Monmartre Walking Tour and... I think that's all. |

I made it to the Novotel in one piece because there were free cart-pushing things all over the place, every elevator I needed to use worked, and the only part I really struggled with was pulling everything down the hall from the entrance of the hotel to the reception area to check in. Urgh, 200 Euro down… I'm hiding out at the Novotel |
