Hollywood, California
Paramount Studios - Dr. Phil's set. I'm not really a fan of the guy thouhg.
Paramount Studios - Inside the studios. Notice the Hollywood sign in the bckground.
Paramount Studios - The classic water tank. It is just a landmark now -- not in used anymore.
Paramount Studios - The original entrance to the studios. It is actually inside the studios now since they bought and added surrounding lands.

Paramount Studios Tour Sep 07, 2011
When a saw the brochure for the Paramount Studios Tour, it immediately caught my attention, but I was very hesitant to do it because it sounded really cheesy. Regardless, I called them up to inquiry about it and they told me the cost; $45.00 per person, ouch! The tour lasted less than two hours, so I really didn’t think I was going to get much from it, but I was out of options (or imagination) that morning, so I signed up for it anyway. Well, it turned out to be a great tour, so no regrets. Well, I think I should mention that I really enjoy watching TV, maybe too much sometimes ;-) And of course, I like movies too. For somebody like me this tour was really interesting. You get to see the studios where some of the most popular American TV shows like I Love Lucy, Cheers, Frasier and many other were filmed. They took us to the actual sets of two current TV shows (Community and Dr. Phil) and explained a lot of what goes on in preparation and during the taping of the shows. BTW, I have never seen neither one of those two shows and I probably won’t, but I have heard of them. Also, while most major TV and movie producing studios have moved to other areas of suburban L.A., Paramount is the only working studio remaining that still remains in Hollywood, so there is a lot of history there. The guide did a really good job explaining a lot of it, and of course, amused us with lots of funny (and not so funny) celebrity stories. I didn’t visit other studios, so I don’t know how they compared to this one. But if you ever come to L.A. and are interested in this kind of stuff, I highly recommend Paramount Studios.
