Parakia Paros Reviews
Parakia and Naousa towns on Paros Island Aug 17, 2011
Paros Island is a quiter Island than Mykonos.
Parakia... (the town where the Ferries dock)
Reccommend a simple but nice restaurant called elaea. It's logo has a olive branch over the name. The food was good and inexpensive... 8 to 10 Euro main courses.. The restaurant is near the main supermarket at the harbor. The Cactus Mexican restaurant was also nice. The beach is nothing to rave about but the peace and shade were welcome. Dinner on the beach at the Italian Restaurant Cave d'Ora was a great experience. The typical Greek village was nice to stroll but no better than Mykonos. Good meat and charcoal was very expensive in Paros so eating out was actually more economical.
Naousa... (north end of the Island 1.60 Euro each way buy bus)
Very pretty little harbor town. Lots of photo ops here. Worth spending a day or more here. Lots of fishing boats = fresh fish on the tables...
Paros is also a dry, dusty Island. Sea breeze keeps the temperatures acceptable. I spent a week on Paros.
