Affordable amazing experience! Apr 10, 2007
I know everyone has their own opinion as to what's cheap but to me most things in New Zealand are fairly cheap anyway including this.
The paragliding attraction is at the top of the luge which is a famous part of Queenstown in itself, but I think the paragliding isn't given enough credit! I can't remember exactly how much it cost as it was a year ago I went but I know it was affordable for a group of 17! so that's saying something. Anyway the experience is fantastic! There is very little waiting around which is great but the take of is rather scary, but that's all part of it. Once you've been to Queenstown you will know how amazing the scenery is and that it is out of this world. Now imagine seeing all of this from above in the sky! Well you can't to be honest, that's why you've got to go and try it for yourselves!!! Plus it's something great to tell your family and friends about when you get home! However try and get on it on a clear day because you can imagine it probably won't be as good. Have a great time anyone going to New Zealand! Don't miss Queenstown, it's just one of the places you have to go!!! Oh and by the way, you can get a t-shirt for the paragliding lol. Part of the New Zealand O7 travel blog |

When everyone came back we headed up the gondola to go on the luge and to decide whether I actually wanted to paraglide. The luge is this cement track where you can race these little cars down a downhill track. I did it twice and it was really fun (though starts to give you a headache after a while. Then it was time to go paragliding! I couldn… Queenstown! |

We were about to leave when we noticed that there was a few people preparing to paraglide. It is the highest point of take off for the paragliders in the area. It was interesting. We then went to nearby Arrowtown for a while. We had had a busy day so on the way back to our accommodation, we picked… The afternoon |

Wander down a street in Queenstown today and you are deluged with offers of white-water rafting, jet-boating, Zorbing, paragliding, canyon-swinging, quad-bike safaris, hot-air ballooning, skydiving — the list is endless. What makes New Zealanders indulge in these high-adrenaline activities? Well, if you look a bit closer, it doesn’t actually seem to be locals doing any of the activities. They… Rocket man |

Paragliding, bungy jumping, skydiving, jetboat racing, canyon swings: every and any sport involving heights, rubber cords, parachutes, speed, fear and/or a gigantic dose of adrenalin, Queenstown has it. If you got the dollars, they've got the thrills. I couldn't return home from… Adrenaline City |
