Parador de Aiguablava

Paradores is a hotel chain distributed all around Spain. All buildings belong to the government, so they are extremely beautiful and original Some of them are old castles or medieval mansions. Although they normally reach your high expectactions, some time you get dissappointed.

In this case "Parador de Aiguablava" reached our expectations by far! Beautiful place! From the outside the building is not that nice, but once you get it you change the way you think. The best feature from this hotel is its location!!! it is right on top of a cliff and has views over the sea (in one side) and to the bay (from the other side). Although I usually ask for views over the sea, in this case I recommend you to book a room with views over the bay!

The room is very spacious and all of them have a huge balcony. If you come here in the winter, they have an awesome heating system, so you will be very comfortable in the room. The bathroom is huge, and the shower great. The only thing I can complaint about is the service. Usually there is no young people in the hotel, so service is not very cheerful!

From the hotel you can do some walks all along the coast of "Costa Brava". Highly recommendable. 5 minute from the hotel you have "Playa de Tamariu", beautiful place to go for a seafood feast! :)
