After staying at this Parador, I would love to try and stay at many more. The hotel was very nice, and unique in that it was a former convent. I think the paradores are a great idea, and really add to the flavor of your trip. After being in spain for about two weeks, we were used to the very simple breakfast of coffee and croissant. The breakfast at the parador was completely a surprise, since they give you a bunch of breakfast items. The breakfast was great, and the restaurant for dinner was very good, as well. The location of the Parador was very good for seeing the entire city of Merida. We walked to all the Roman ruins found throughout the city right from out hotel. I was very happy we stayed at this Parador.

What an amazing place the roman ruins here are absolutely spectacular being the largest roman settlement on the Iberian Peninsula. The roman bridge is among the longest ever built by them, the templo de diana is very cool to see with its many pillar…… roman ruins |
