Paradise Restaurant

If you happen to be visiting Las Galeras, you need to stop by Paradise Restaurant. Their Piña Coladas are fabulous. We went there three different days in order to imbibe that wonderful beverage :). They were using fresh pineapples (which tasted amazing!), and I think fresh coconut. The food was great too, but the fish they serve changes from day to day, depending on what they catch that morning. The restaurant was run by a European “group” (I think French), that was super friendly and always happy when we arrived. The drinks were 150 pesos (about $4.50 US) and the dinners ran round 450 pesos (about $13.50 US) for filet mignon or fish (and cheaper for salads or appetizers).

Best food around at reasonable prices.
Nice people (John, Audrey, Marco, Mayo) running the place.
We've visited Las Galeras three times (as of 2009) this is our declared first choice restaurant.
You get everything from perfect Spare Ribs, Filet Mignon, fresh local Shrimps, Fish and Conch as well as homemade springrolls, mashed potatoes, really good Burgers,
Texas Chilli and so on.
We'll shure be back at Coconut Roy's Paradise.
