Paradise Island Samal Island

If you're ever in davao. Head out to the nearby Samal island. And taxi can take u to the pier for a brief boatride to the island. Just bring a beach bag, suntan lotion, hat, mobile phone, and few cash (for food). U can take this on a day trip. Or stay in the island for a couple of days (not sure about accomodations though). Ideally take the boat ride in the morning. Find yourself a nice hut, order food and drinks at nearby grill shops (for bbq or grilled fish). Take a swim (wear water shoes as the beach has lots or corals and rocks). Just laze around and get a good tan. catch the boat ride that brings you back in the city before night fall.

Hard to find the street to catch the banka. Boat ride is 15P/ person. Entrance into beach 100P/person. Became too commercialized. Beach faces north & they put shade screen to cover most of the beach. But everything else was clean & there's a small zoo at the back. Kind of strange. The food is expensive & if you bring boan you have to sit at a different area. The cottages are nice & the landscape is well kept. There's not much snorkeling to see. Hardly any fish. Limited to swimming because the current is strong past the boat docks.
