Paradise Island Park & Beach Resort Samal Island Reviews
for Beach Lovers Dec 13, 2009
If you are a beach lover and Southern Philippines is part of your destination, include Samal Island in your list and if you have time to just laze around, make sure you visit Paradise Island.
Well, the name itself is inviting already. The island of Samal is known for its beautiful beaches (I still have to go to Talicud, I’ll blog about that some other time) and the resort is one of the firsts to be established as a must-see sight.
There are many things to do in the resort aside from getting a tan and swimming in the beach, it’s very ideal for teambuilding with friends and colleagues. It’s very accessible from Davao City (just 7-minute boat ride from Barangay Sasa). For those who have their own cars, they also have wide, safe parking area.
While in the boat and as you approach the resort, the first thing you’ll notice is the color of the water and the beauty of the sand in the beach. For those who’d like to get a tan, this is perfect for you.
Entrance to the resort is 100 hundred pesos and in case you’d like to stay overnight, there are many options. Either you opt for a beach overnight for 250 pesos or enjoy the warmth and comfort of the rooms @ 2, 100 which is fully airconditioned, has private bath with hot and cold shower, a lot of complimentary things and other surprises.
For those staying for the day only, they have public bathrooms and toilets which are well maintained and cleaned.
The resort’s pride is of course its beach with the white sand. There are also many water sports and recreational games to play such as ocean kayaks, paddle boards, pedal boats, aqua bikes, billiard, table tennis and beach volleyball.
Food in the resort are also delicious – I love the seafood the most. There are also a variety of fruit juices and other cold delights (the best would be the buko juice).
There is also a souvenir shop and make sure you’ve looked into their collection of pearls and native crafts.
Plus, my favorite – massage area and the aviary plus the children’s park.
It’s a fun stay in the island. If you’re with friends, this is a good place to bond.
