Paradise Biryani Pointe Alpharetta Reviews
Good food but drab looking restaurant Aug 13, 2016
Paradise Biryani Pointe is tucked inside a busy shopping center located off Windward Parkway, in Alpharetta Georgia, a city which I also nickname "consumerville". It was a bit of challenge initially locating the restaurant even with GPS. Parking there is a bit complex too as Paradise Biryani is conjoined to other popular shops in the area.
It offers a pretty decent selection of spicy and non spicy vegetarian and non vegetarian entrees complete with biryani (a known spicy Indian dish mixed with vegetables) and nan. They offer a decent variety of thaali and curries to cater to the many different customers tastes. They also offer many beverages imported from the Indian subcontinent, such as its own domestic coca cola to its Taj Mahal beer.
I had the sheekh kabob with a side of garlic nan. The entree and the side dishes were delicious and prepared with pride. The food was overall good for its value. The restaurant is also family friendly and caters to children well. Customer service was friendly too.
Unfortunately, the look of the restaurant wasn't all that appealing. I felt like I was eating at a drab office cafeteria rather than a colorful Indian restaurant with the black marble among the white tabletops and white walls. Yes, there were televisions promoting Indian culture. Yes, the menu appeared loyal to its Indian roots. But the restaurant is a bit of an eye sore to look at with extremely fluorescent lights overhead.
While it is not the greatest restaurant to look at, I will recommend the restaurant based on the food rather than the climate. Hopefully, it will improve on its appearance before I ever head back down to Georgia.
