Parade Hotel Bath Reviews
Central location, good price Mar 31, 2012
We spent 2 nights in September at the Parade Park. This was our first time in Bath and it didn’t disappoint. We had a lovely weekend.
The hotel is authentically old in a central location, kept very well, the rooms were clean and I loved the fresh smell every time we entered, breakfast buffet was fine. The location is great - 5mins walk form the train station, by the river, near the spa and roman bath and other great places. A warning: there are no lifts so if you have heavy bags or don’t do well with stairs you should request a room on the first floor. Reception was very helpful, they also had advice/recommendation whatever we asked (restaurants, what to see etc). We had meals in the nearby Thai (Salathai) and Nepalese (Yak Yeti Yak) restaurants - we enjoyed both, but thai is more for our pallets. The value was great, the food was hearty home cooking and service is attentive, friendly and the thai way... with a smile. Lovely. One tip: on a rugby night do book in advance as it gets very busy as early as 7pm.
See my other reviews on Bath for more info about the areas of this hotel and things we've done.
Room Tip: Consider the stairs, there is no lift. We stayed on the top floor with nice views. I think the large...
