Paraa Lodge Reviews
Paraa Lodge Nov 06, 2012
Paraa safari lodge is the only lodge on the north side of the Nile in Murchison Falls national park, which means that you get to the safari drives before anyone else does, but also means that it is far more expensive than the lodges on the south of the river.
It is lovely. Prices are full board, and the food was very nice. The rooms are large and beautiful, and there were nice toiletries provided in the bathrooms. The shower was nice and powerful and our room had a little terrace to sit on.
There is a big pool with a swim-up bar and views out over the Nile, which is probably quite a selling point given how dusty you can get on the roads. You can get snacks at the poolside bar. Other facilities included a gift shop (of course) and help arranging a guide for the park if you needed one. There were some interesting other guests to talk to in the bar area near the restaurant upstairs, and there is access to the internet provided too.
The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful, and it was easy to get to the park to see the animals without needing to get a ferry in the morning. I enjoyed my stay here, and would stay again if I was treating myself.
