Great little cafe for a cap in downtown Halifax Sep 19, 2008
If you're a starbucks person then there is one just up the street, but if you're looking for a decent cup of coffee or a latte without the whole MEGA FRANCISE business, then I recommend The Paperchase. From the entrance it looks just like a convience store, but once you get up to the second lovel you'll fall inlove with it's charm. I have to say this is the only espresso that I've ever tasted that tastes decent without anything added to it, and we all know how strong/awkward tasting espresso can be, but it does the trip to keep us awake. The prices aren't cheap, but if you're willing to spend the same price at starbucks, go to paperchase instead. It's better, local and fairtrade to boost!
