Pantai Cenang is a white sand stretch of beach at the south eastern tip of Pulau Langkawi. It has a reputation as being a cheaper area of the island and attracts the mid budget and backpacker crowd.
The beach is shallow but good enough for swimming although you may emerge with stinging needle like sensations that are said to be down to tiny jellyfish! It's more of an annoyance than painful.
