Pantai Cenang is a white sand stretch of beach at the south eastern tip of Pulau Langkawi. It has a reputation as being a cheaper area of the island and attracts the mid budget and backpacker crowd.
The beach is shallow but good enough for swimming although you may emerge with stinging needle like sensations that are said to be down to tiny jellyfish! It's more of an annoyance than painful.

Decided to get off our backsides and actually take advantage of the fact that Langkawi has a lot more to offer than just beautiful beaches, fantastic food and cheap booze (as if that isn't enough). We went and rented a little green automatic moped which we forgot to photograph so you'll have to take our word for it that it was cute.
