Ok, let me cut to the chase. For the price you pay here, $7 a night for a private room with ensuite bathroom and double bed you can't do a lot of complaining. With that said I will just say this is not the place for those who are germaphobes, like being pampered, or need lots of amentities. The room was clean but run down. The sheets had holes in them. No A/C. Ants in the room constantly. On the plus side I've camped in the outdoors and had worse. I paid $6 for a campsite once and had to deal with bugs, getting up and trekking to the bathroom, and no fan. 7:00am that sun had you sweating and you were up. So I compare it to roughing it but indoors where life is easier. Also free wifi but only in certain areas of the hostel.
Ladies and gentlemen you get what you pay for and if you are prepared for this then Pan's Place is fine for a low budget stay.

Great place to stay. Right in the town so close to everything but not super busy. Quiet at night and lots of backpackers there. The staff could be friendlier.
