Panorama Guesthouse

Panorama Guesthouse and Restaurant is a family run guesthouse located at Beau Vallon Beach on the North West side of Mahé Island. From the airport it is a 25 minutes drive. It is close to restaurants, dive centres and watersports. A bus stop is just a few meters from the gate,

We stayed here on our 4 days on Mahé Island. The 10 rooms have en-suite bathrooms, were clean, but small and very basic. No A/C, just a extremely noisy fan in the ceiling. The fan was changed after two days. With 29°C/85°F in the room at night, it made it very difficult to sleep. There is also the main road in front of the guesthouse. If you get a room facing the road, which most of them did, you will hear the traffic.

There is no internet access at the guesthouse.

The breakfast was poor, only white bread and corn flakes. The resaturant served a buffet dinner for €25, which had to be ordered in the morning. I did not eat it, but some of my friends did and they said it was nothing great.

The VIVA Car Rental is based at the guesthouse. Here you can rent a car for €40 a day. You have to expect to spend about €20 pr day for gasoline.

If you had any questions or queries, the staff was helpful, but it was seldom done with a smile. They say that they provide budget accommodation, but at a rate of €75/€95 for single/double I´m not sure I would call that budget! It is absolutely not worth the price.
