Panda Inn - Pasadena - TravBuddy

I consider Panda Inn to be so much better than P.F. Changs. Their food variety is much larger, the cooking styles much more authentic, and the quality of food is much better.

I can honestly say I was pleasantly surprised by my visit today. We ordered a beef rib dish that unexpectedly looked exactly like a well done chinese home-cooked meal. Slow braised beef on bone was served over udon and spinach, with a broth at the bottom where you could taste the slowly cooked beef. Thai people have their Tom Yum soup, but if I am ever sick and in need of some home cooked chinese food - funny enough I think I am going to order this dish to go.

We started off with their salt and pepper prawns, which is worthy of some rave reviews. 6 huge prawns were served atop a martini cup with my favorite pickled vegetables. They were delicious! Move over calamari and shrimp cocktail, this starter will knock your socks off!
