Panda Hotel Hong Kong Apr 11, 2013
The staff is horrible. They have intimidating security people in the lobby who walks around getting all territorial. It doesn't pay to be nice!

The rooms are clean though with comfy beds and clean bathrooms. They also had this (functioning) antique radio in the room which is quite interesting. The location is not too good. Like most hotels, it's quite boring there.

I'm sure there's still lots of cheaper alternatives with better location around Hog Kong.

No, I wouldn't go back there.

Really good hotel Jan 30, 2011
Hello, i hope this review will help...I would rate this hotel 4-5 stars, it is located on the first floor, the reception aera is massive with conciege, information desk, free shutter to the airport and town, usually really busy so book in advance... I had the Deluxe single room who was really spacious with a huge bed, a small sofa, a suitcase carrier, a desk with kettle(tea, coffee} a wardrobe with a safe... the bathroom was a good size too... Daily, they provide shampoo, conditioner, toothbrush, toothpaste,comb...the rooms were always kept clean and tidy... the staff were really helpful whenever i needed advice. You can access the subway easily from the hotel through one of the reception door, i would memorise the "chinese" sign for subway though... they dont use the world subway but mtr and it's always handy to keep the card of the hotel and an underground map..the swimming pool is closed during winter and there's a shopping mall under the hotel, try the kfc its cheap and you get loads ....overwall,I've paid 40£pn and i really like my stay at the hotel for the confort but it was a bit far from the action.. if you book through a travel agency, they'll tell you the hotel is based at kowloon which is not far from the centre and it's really an animated aera but in fact the hotel is located at tsuen wan which is complety in "chinese" area.. if you still got questions after reading this, you can email me, good luck.

Home away from home Dec 05, 2011
Panda Hotel is located in tsuen wan and is near 2 mtr stations..The hotel itself is inside a mall so we had no problems with dinner..there is also a 7/11 below where we bought water (water in the hotel is expensive) we stayed there for 3 nights..we got the room for HKD 950(exclusive 10% service charge) from early reservation and for an extra person.the check-in was hassle free as we arrived 7.30 AM we were given a room immediately with 2 beds on the 24th floor even though 2 pm is the check-in time(we were so grateful as we had stayed at the airport for 6 hours arriving at 1 am)..the bed was comfortable we just wanted to rest on the 1st day and sheets were changed everyday as we asked..the bathroom is clean and is well maintained and it's nice to soak in the tub after a whole day walk....the concierge is also very helpful they can communicate in english well and they have a free shuttle bus to and from the city..which can save u a few bucks..

I have read several negative comments about the hotel and didn't expect much but when we arrived i was so happy to see that it exceeded my expectations. definitely we will stay here again..

Panda Hotel Dec 26, 2010
Panda Hotel is a Hong Kong based hotel walking distance from many buses and the frequented Tsuen Wah train line. The key word to Panda Hotel is location as it offers easy access to many high end shops, restaurants, and other entertainment areas located in the same building, as well as a nearby flea market with considerable bargains. Located in a very busy area and with a considerably active night life, customer service is friendly and offers many additional amenities such as affordable wi-fi, and a gymnasium. They also have affordable tours available at the front desk in which guests can enjoy a bus trip through the heart of Hong Kong and nearby Chenzen, China area.

Laundry services are available in a nearby shop across from the hotel, so guests would have to ask around to pinpoint its location. Also, the elevator system will take some getting used to as different elevators skips and stops at different floors.

Overall, Panda Hotel is affordable and recommended. I would stay again without any worries.

Good Value for money but outside the city May 15, 2010
I stayed at the Panda Hotel in Tsuen Wan Hong Kong for 4 nights in the first week of January, 2010. My experience was great and I have reviewed my hotel stay as given below.

The Panda Hotel is located on the outskirts of the Hong Kong City is the suburb of Tsuen Wan. However it is well connected to the heart of the city by bus routes as well as the Metro which in Hong Kong is called the MTR. The Tai Wo Hau MTR Station is a 5 minute walk from the hotel and gets you to Central Hong Kong (Tsim Sha Tsui & Central) within 35 minutes. The taxi drive from the airport is 250 HKD and takes 30 minutes. I would not rate the location as a constraint if you have that extra 30 mins to travel up and down.

The room is very well equipped with all the basic amenities. It has a flat screen TV, a comfortable bed, a side table and a sofa set and a clean and well maintained bathroom with a bath tub. If you are lucky to get a room above the 20th floor you get a good view as well. A Tea / Coffee Maker is also available and the facilities match that of an average 4* Hotel

The great plus point of this hotel is that it has eateries all around within walking distance. A McDonalds, Pizza Hut and KFC are just blocks away and if you do not enjoy the Chinese / Japanese food served in the 4 restaurants in The Panda, you need not worry; you can just visit these eateries. A China Bank ATM is also across the road.
