Pancakes! Amsterdam Reviews
An unusual and pleasent change Oct 26, 2009
I knew what to expect from the pancakes, but no idea what to expect of the restaurant.
I felt a bit like I'd walked into a studio apartment with a retro feel. The oven stood along one wall with a small island in front, with finished cabinets above the stoves. It really gave the feeling of a homey kitchen in a modish home from the early 70s, but with a much better sense of colour.
The menu was full of frightfully delicious looking options, and it took me a long time to settle on an international themed pancake with hints of Indian.
The huge pancake that arrived and a mildly sweet taste to it and had shredded chicken and sultana raisins mixed into the batter. It was topped with s savory but mild creamy curry like sauce in the way you might use maple syrup.
Over all a tasty experience that I would encourage others to try.
