For two straight years, I spent my holy thursday in Pampanga with my sister and friends. We left Manila at noon time of the Holy Thursday, and reached Pampanga about two hours. I think most people in Manila has left for a long break somewhere in the provinces. I initially planned to go somewhere bu…

Heavy traffic is the last
thing you want to be trapped in when you’re in a hurry, and here I was inching

Coconut trees. Manila. Secret beaches. Red Horse (local beer). Adobo. Sinigang. Drinking on the street by candlelight and accompanied by friendly but manic mosquitoes :) Buko juice. Roadtrips to nowhere. Boracay. Dencio's. Pinoy charm all around. Hospitality. Amazing scenery.

It's been awhile since I visited Manila and this time I was really anxious to be there again. I really wanted to visit my Granny (she's 88 yrs old) and my big bro, and of course have a taste of local foods. I only spent 5 days, but boy was it fun, especially the long distance travel from Manila to Nueva Ecija; stopping at some eatery places by the side of the streets, and of course mingling with the locals and telling each other some good old folklores. Yes, 5 days and it was worth it.
