The Best Breakfast in Copenhagen Mar 03, 2017
Bog means ‘book’ in Danish and Paludan means Breakfast! I was convinced by another Travbuddy member to have Brunch here because it gets good reviews. Well deserved reviews by the way. When you first enter you will be thinking that this is either a restaurant with a book problem or a massive bookstore with a food option. The later is the true story. Paludan opened as a massive bookstore in 1951. They originally sold and even printed books and materials for students. It still does to this day. Somewhere along the way they decided to do food. Wonderful food.

The restaurant operates on a first-come, first-served basis. You just have to find seats or tables. There is a good chance you will be sharing. You order at the bar and tell them where you are sitting. I decided to have the biggest thing on their menu. I will let the menu speak for itself:

Greek yogurt with fruit, honey, muesli, ham, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, pancake with maple syrup, two different types of cheeses, salami, Serrano ham served with bread, Danish dark bread, butter and a glass of fresh orange juice or a smoothie.

It was all fresh, delicious and filling. I also had a nice glass of draft beer to top it all off. This is the place for a big and wholesome breakfast in Copenhagen. Don’t miss out !

This is awesome! I've always wondered why more cafes/bookstores didn't do this.
