Palmela is a great place to those who love nature and good weather and like good wines and regional food.

In the top of Serra do Louro the Castle of Palmela is at the top of the mountain and as a breathtaking view.

You can also take a walk on foot or with a mountain bike in the Serra do Louro it has magnificent views where you can observe simultaneously the two sides of the mountain through windmills and ruins.

Guards at the top of the Serra do Louro, the mills are aware of the time and witnesses of history. Legacy of centuries of processing activities by man, the goods of the earth, is still used in the manufacture of bread, or simply for tourism.

In this way you can back in history and witness the way of life before, through a series of important archaeological finds.

It's a great place to visit nearby Lisbon.

The best time to visit is between May and September.
