Palette Takashimadaira Reviews

Jan 05, 2008
Well, the Palette Takashimadaira was short on what I was expecting when I saw it at hostelworld.com. The rooms were small, only one bed, which means if you have a buddy with you, one of you is sleeping on the floor like I did. There are three rooms which share a common area (shower, dining area, etc.) so you may be staying with someone you don't even know. But that's part of traveling and being cheap. Our room was dirty but I think primarily due to that fact that the other attendees were long time residents. The other rooms our friends stayed in were clean and well up kept. The area the Palette Takashimadaira is located in is a small friendly corner on the outer reaches of Tokyo. It's about a 4 minute or less walk to the Takashimadaira train station on the Mita Line and once you get the transit system down you can go anywhere you wish in Tokyo and beyond. I recommend this hostel for the week or shorter visitor to Tokyo.
