I stopped in Palau to have dinner before heading back to Golfo Aranci. Palau is a pleasant little town on the northeast coast. It's nothing special archtitectually but, It's a friendly resort town with fantastic pastry shoppes with interesting Sardo sweets and numerous cafes serving tasty meals. I had dinner on a terrace with a view of the harbor as the sun was setting. I have a fantastic Sardo favorite.: homeade pasta with aubergine and local smoked ricotta. long, random story why i chose to come here for an extra-long weekend, but was a beautiful trip. corsica's amazing, will be going back, and this time the weather cooperated so i could finally hike the cinque terre. (new to travbuddy, trying things out, might add words to this travel blog later. for now, only pix.)
