It's all about location Nov 28, 2011
The best feature of the hotel is definitely its excellent location as it is only a walking distance from the central bus station, mahane yehuda market, shops, restaurants, shawarma stalls and the Old City (where all the action is). There are also trams around the corner of the hotel which can quickly take you to and from the bus station and all the way to Damascus gate(where the bus station going to Bethlehem is located). If you guys need to ask how to get around the city, the receptionists are accommodating enough to guide you through.

This hotel is well recommended for those on a budget trip especially if you're travelling with a friend, their double room is proven to be economical. The price is reasonable as it comes with breakfast but if you are staying long and you reckoned that almost the same menu everyday won't do,be prepared to eat out, there are convenience stores and mcdonald's nearby. As yoghurts, fruits and cereals are also being served, it wasn't a problem for me at all.

The room itself was clean; having fresh towels and beddings everyday. The problem is, it was a bit noisy at night and somehow, staying at the 3rd floor helped tone down the noise of people in the streets. Also we had a small bathroom especially the shower area where you can't move around.

In terms of amenities, there's no elevator, no parking space (those who plan to rent a car will have to consider this) and only few tv channels. However, on a positive note, wifi connection was really fast.

For those who only wanted convenient location and wanted to enjoy the city without having to splash on so much money, this hotel is for you.

Affordable boutique hotel at perfect location Jun 03, 2008
The hotel is a really pleasant yet affordable place to stay. It is in an old building, meaning that the rooms are all different, but have been divided into standard and superior rooms. The superior rooms are relatively small but the way they did it leaves room to move.

Normal comfortbale bed, refurbished bathroom, simply what you need to wash and sleep. The rooms at the street side are noisy in the afternoon and early evening because local youth will gather there with mopeds and make music, however later in the evening it gets quiet.

The hotel is not accessible for wheelchairs and has no elevators. Also, to get to the front door you have to climb a few steps.

The lobby is small like the whole set-up, but the owners and staff are laidback people who know a lot about the city and want to advice you in all possible ways.

The location is great. It is about 10 minutes walk from the old city via Jaffa Street and in a neighbourhood with shops and eateries. The atmosphere is informal and nice.

On a next time this hotel wuld be my choice again.

Adorable Family-run Boutique Hotel Aug 21, 2008
This family-owned boutique hotel is at a prime location in Jerusalem - literally down the street from the open market and Ben Yehuda; also, for those without heavy luggage, an easy walk from the central bus station and to the old city.

There is a small, two-person balcony off the lobby decorated with flowers which overlooks a fun sitting spot; local raggae-type bands and street cats fill the spot.

The staff is quiet and very helpful. My roommate and I brought a bottle of wine, which the hotel staff kept cold in their personal fridge for us. The nice lady at the front desk also supplied a bottle opener and two wine glasses without charge! When we needed help in the room, the maintenance man walked up with us and fixed the problem, then asked if we would like something to drink! How often do you find a place like this?

The hotel is relatively small, and serves a small breakfast (included), and also has free wi-fi for guests.

The one complaint is that there was quite a bit of noise early in the morning (around 6 or 7 am), and the windows do not shield you from any of it. For those who sleep heavy or want an early wake up call, this is great.

Also, no elevator, so travel light!

Walk up the street to the market for falafel, or to a nearby bakery for goodies. Lots of bookstores in the building connected to the hotel.
