Appreciating contemporary art in Paris Mar 11, 2007
If you like contemporary and modern art, Palais de Tokyo is definitely worth a visit. This museum has great exhibitions for a low price. You'll pay 6 euro. People younger than 26 or older than 60 pay 4.50 euro.

It's difficult to say something about the museum because, there isn't an art collection that you can see whenever you go. They have exclusive exhibitions.

The museum even has a boutique, a library AND a restaurant. You can find very cool stuff in the boutique and the library. Books about street art that are difficult to find and other exclusive goodies.

This museum rocks! It's the coolest I have ever seen!

Is this building safe? Mar 16, 2007
Palais de Tokyo is about contemporary or even experimental art. So this art is most likely not the be found anywhere else on the world.

The rooms where the artist shows his/her art are often even renovated for every single exhibition. Only stucturall there is nothing to debate about, safty first! So in case the artist wants the floor to be made out of purple concrete... no problem! An extra floor, can be done, stairs leading nowhere, done!

So I can't tell you anything about what you can se, because all exhibitions are temporarely and most pieces of art are as well.

What I can tell you: there's a shop, library, and the toillets are made for Siamese twins... two bowls per room with no separation in between. The restaurant stays open untill very late (in my case after midnight).

If you like modern or experimental art: this is a must see!!!

If you don't like it... don't go.
