Pak Bara Vacation Guide
Pak Bara is a small fishing town located in southern Thailand in Satun Province. It lies off the main Satun to Trang highway. Pak Bara is most known to travelers for it's port which provides boat access to the islands in Tarutau National Park and points north in Thailand.
There are just a handful of Hotels and Guest Houses in town and a good number of restaurants. There are several travel agencies to assist you in catching a ferry or speedboat to the islands.
It is an hour and a half taxi ride from the Hat Yai airport to Pak Bara.

Pak Bara is know as a place you go to to get to the Tarutau Islands and not much more. I found that the town of Pak Bara is not so bad of a place. It is a small town for sure but it had a little more character than I was told to expect.
