Pak Bara is know as a place you go to to get to the Tarutau Islands and not much more.  I found that the town of Pak Bara is not so bad of a place.  It is a small town for sure but it had a little more character than I was told to expect. I get woken up at about 5 AM by a Muslim chanting over a loudspeaker.  This one needs to practice his melodic chanting a little.  There's a few chickens crowing this early too but not too bad.  They are just far away enough to …
