My backpack finally arrives at 10 a.m... ouf! everything worked out as planned.
We took our first steps on the famous camino de santiago... and decided to take the path by the sea... got lost looking for it... 45 minutes later we were right back in front of our hotel hoping nobody would see us.
It was a very nice day of walk on the seaside. It was so beautiful. We crossed from France to Spain. It took us 6 hours to get to pilgrim'…

I had never surfed before, but some of my friends convinced my to try it... So I signed up for a summer camp in Zarautz. Surfing is really hard, you need to be in good condition. I liked being in the water, but there were so many other people, that you had to be more busy with gaining a spot than with surfing itself. I have to admit that I pretty much gave up after a couple of days. I was so sick of avoiding those sharp surfboards and loosing each wave to some local talent... But an…

We were driving towards Madrid when we headed for the nearest large city in order to get some food. The biggest city seemed to be Vitoria-Gasteiz.
When we came into the city we found it full of people in the streets - it was around 6-7pm and we were really hungry for a real meal. We parked the car in the city center and walked around to find a place to eat. We found bars and cafés everywhere but no open restaurants. We got a hold of a girl that spoke some english and she explained that we …

Etxanobe Bilbao, Spain Situated atop the Congressional Palace in Spain's most contemporary city, Etxanobe is the dining venue of choice for politicians and high society, not to mention the perfect spot for sampling exquisite Basque cuisine.Décor: The room's great height is accentuated by a charming mishmash of old-fashioned French touches and gold lamé curtains, as well as drapes billowing from the ceiling and a wall decorated with Dali-esque flair by Spanish artist Joaquín Galland…

Another vacation after I quit my stressful job - I visited my friend in London, and then headed off to Paris, Bilbao and San Sebastian with him. A wonderful trip filled with great sights, food and company - made even more wonderful because I landed in Paris in the middle of the annual sale.

We came here at the evening. We were welcome with the Spanish young man saing "no flat, no flat" which had to inform us that there is no flat place to set the tent. We decided to stay there because of the fantastic view to the ocean and because of the people. I must say that Young spanish boys and girls are very pretty and they wear funky clothes so normal but so glitzy:-)
The food was great there especially paella in the smal bar. Cheap but tasty. The best I ate:)
The path to the beach wa…

After spending 2 weeks in Barcelona, I had another 5 days or so to travel around Spain so I've decided to rent a car with an Australian friend and head west to Pais Vasco and the Pyrenees.
The first day of our roadtrip consisted mostly of driving, getting lost in Zaragoza, driving some more, getting lost in Pais Vasco, and finaly arriving at Aulesti - a lovely tranquile Basque village, where we were hosted by an incredibly generous man named Humberto. We drove a total of 12 hours that day...…

Booked on P&O ferry with the van for a two night trip across the Bay of Biscay. It was so much fun. We took the basic cabin which had it´s own ensuite and very comfortable twin beds. P&O put on entertainment every night so a group of 4 girls and 4 guys performed an Abba show and a Grease show with many costume changes and a very proffessional routine. The ship carries it´s own Wildlife Officer and she gave a free one hour talk on all the animals one could sig…
