When in Paignton an absolute must visit is paignton zoo,its the third largest zoo in britain and also on of the best by far.Every year there is a new attraction or the zoo is somehow updated currently with an excellent crocodile and snake pit attractions.
With thousands of animals to see the zoo can easily take up a full day of your time.Some of the enclosures to look out for is the brilliant Orang utan and gorilla house,the excellent monkey house and the great lion and tiger enclosures!
There is a small train to travels the circumfrence of what is called gibbon lake which you guessed it has gibbons on the island in the middle.
At Paignton Zoo there is a large restaraunt near the Zoo entrance that has just gone through a big refurbishment and tries to source most of its food locally or from fair trade which albeit it very good it means the food is rather disgusting.
With many breeding programmes going on at the zoo there is always a good opportunity to see some baby animals.Most recently which generated alot of interest is a baby rhino.
