The Paignton Steam Railway is a steam train that runs the old route from Paignton to Kingswear via goodrington and churston.With beautiful scenery on route and classic steam trains it attracts nature lovers and trainspotters alike.
Occasionally you might see Thomas the Tank engine towing the train,or if you go at christmas,father christmas will be waiting at the other end for you.
The trip can also be combined with the ferry services from torquay,paignton and brixham it can make an enjoyable day out.Unfortunately the service is not an all year round one so you can only use it in the summer or at christmas.The christmas trip is great for children to go and see the santas grotto they build there.The kids get a present and the adults get some wine.Woohoo!
