Paia Town

Paia is a cool town too. This is on the North side of Maui. I think of it as the hippie town. People are really laid back there, and there are more locals on that side. Willie Nelson lives here too, and he and his son own the bar "Charlies." There are usually good bands playing there.

I saw a ton of people surfing and wind surfing on the east side of Paia too. It's on your way to Hana.

Kahului is the airport and city of Maui, but there isn't much to see or do there, so don't waste any time there.

Kihei has some good beaches too, including a nude beach ("little beach"). I would suggest staying on "Big Beach" if you don't want to see fat old naked guys flopping around. Seriously, you aren't going to see any good looking people there.
